Take Profit Trader PRO account rules: the buffer is your drawdown
A Take Profit Trader PRO account keeps your test drawdown, but it trails intraday and stops at the starting balance. Profit above a buffer equal to that drawdown can be withdrawn from day one at 80/20, with no consistency rule or published cap. PRO costs a one-time $130, and a breach liquidates it.

"Balance to request" is the starting balance plus the buffer. Take Profit Trader doesn't publish a minimum number of days, a minimum payout or a per-request cap for PRO, so those cells say so instead of guessing. Its help center doesn't state the PRO contract limit separately from the test.
The drawdown changes on PRO
PRO keeps the drawdown amount from the test you passed, but not the way it moves. The test trails your end-of-day balance; PRO trails intraday, so an open profit you give back can lift the floor during the session. It never goes above your starting balance.
Touch it and the account is liquidated immediately. Hitting a limit-up or limit-down lock also costs you the PRO account.
The buffer is your drawdown
Before anything is withdrawable you need a buffer equal to your maximum drawdown: $2,000 on the 50K, so a $52,000 balance. Profit above that line can be withdrawn from day one, at 80/20 in your favor. There's no consistency rule on PRO payouts.
If the account is closed, you can still withdraw half of your buffer zone.

What PRO costs
- Activation: a one-time $130, sometimes waived with a code or credit.
- Monthly fees: none.
- Withdrawals: a $50 fee on requests of $250 or less.
- Resets: up to three per PRO account, $999 on the 100K.
Trade every week
You must trade at least one day per calendar week, Sunday to Friday.
PRO+
PRO+ is a live account, by invitation. It starts at a $0 balance with an end-of-day drawdown equal to your PRO drawdown, and $5,000 of your PRO profit is frozen while it's active. There's no single threshold that decides who gets promoted.
Practice it
FundedSim doesn't simulate Take Profit Trader yet. The test's drawdown works like Topstep's Maximum Loss Limit, so the Topstep 50K in the simulator is a close practice partner. For PRO's intraday trailing, practice on an Apex Intraday account, and read end of day vs intraday first.
Questions people actually ask
What is the buffer on a Take Profit Trader PRO account?
An amount equal to your maximum drawdown: $1,500 on the 25K, $2,000 on the 50K, $2,500 on the 75K, $3,000 on the 100K and $4,500 on the 150K. Profit above the starting balance plus the buffer can be withdrawn.
Is the PRO drawdown end of day like the test?
No. The test uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown, but PRO trails intraday, and it stops trailing at the starting balance.
Does Take Profit Trader have a consistency rule on PRO?
Its 50% consistency rule applies to qualifying for PRO in the test. Take Profit Trader's PRO payout rules don't list a consistency requirement.
What happens if I break the drawdown on PRO?
The account is liquidated immediately. You can still withdraw 50% of your buffer zone after the account is closed, and you can reset a PRO account up to three times for a fee.
