MyFundedFutures funded account rules: the buffer comes first

A MyFundedFutures Sim Funded account starts at $0, with an end-of-day drawdown that locks $100 above the start. On Builder you first build a buffer ($2,100 on the 50K), then need $500 more and two trading days per cycle, no day above 50% of the cycle. Payouts are 80/20, capped per cycle; after five you move live.

"Balance to request" is on an account that starts at $0: the buffer plus the first payout's minimum net profit. There's no activation fee on any MFFU plan.

It starts at zero

Your Sim Funded balance starts at $0 and can go negative. The Max Loss Limit is an end-of-day trailing drawdown, $2,000 on the 50K, so on day one the floor sits at −$2,000. It follows your best close up and locks for good once it reaches $100 above the start.

The 50K also has a soft $1,000 daily loss limit: hit it and you're paused for the day, the account keeps going.

The buffer before the first payout

Nothing is withdrawable until you've built the buffer: the Max Loss Limit plus $100, so $2,100 on the 50K and $4,600 on the 150K. On top of that the first payout needs $500 of net profit on the 50K, $1,500 on the 150K.

Think of the first $2,100 as a deposit that protects the account, not money you can take. A trader who makes $2,500 and stops has nothing to request yet.

The payout checklist on Builder

  1. Two trading days in the current cycle. They don't need a minimum profit.
  2. The 50% rule. Your largest profit day can't be more than 50% of the cycle's profit. The count starts over after every approved payout.
  3. Above the buffer, with at least the minimum payout ($500 on the 50K).
  4. Within the cap: $2,000 a cycle on the 50K, $4,500 on the 150K.

The split is 80/20 in your favor.

Summary of the MyFundedFutures Builder 50K Sim Funded payout path: a $2,100 buffer, $500 of net profit for the first payout and up to $2,000 per cycle for five payouts
On an account that starts at $0, the first $2,600 decides when you get paid. After that it is two days a cycle, up to $2,000 each time.

Five payouts, then live

After your fifth approved sim payout on Builder you become eligible for a live funded account. On the live account payouts are daily with a $250 minimum, and the drawdown is end of day again: $2,000 on the 50K, $4,500 on the 150K.

Rapid is built differently

Rapid's funded account trails your intraday equity high by $2,000 and locks at $100. You still build a $2,100 buffer first, but after that there's no consistency rule, payouts can be daily from $500, and the split is 90/10. MFFU doesn't publish a per-payout cap for Rapid Sim Funded. A $10,000 profit day moves you to live automatically.

Practice it

FundedSim doesn't simulate MFFU's funded account yet. The habit that matters is the same as on any end-of-day account: know where the floor sits at every close. Practice it on an Apex 50K End of Day or Topstep 50K in the simulator, and compare the two firms in Apex vs MyFundedFutures.

Questions people actually ask

How much do I need to make before my first MyFundedFutures payout?

What happens after five MyFundedFutures payouts?

After the fifth approved sim payout on Builder you become eligible for a live funded account, where payouts are daily with a $250 minimum.
