MyFundedFutures: Builder vs Rapid, and the buffer you have to clear before getting paid
MyFundedFutures (MFFU) sells one-time evaluations with no activation fee. The Builder plan uses an end-of-day Max Loss Limit and a soft daily loss limit that only pauses you, with no consistency rule to pass. The Rapid plan adds a 50% consistency rule to the eval and switches to an intraday trailing drawdown once you're funded.
Builder plan
| Size | Price | Profit target | Max loss | Daily loss limit | Max contracts | Activation | Room |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50K | $153 one-time | $3,000 | $2,000 | $1,000, pauses the day | 4 minis / 40 micros | $0 | 67% |
| 150K | not verified | $9,000 | $4,500 | $2,500, pauses the day | 9 minis / 90 micros | $0 | 50% |
The Builder 50K also comes with a cheaper Add-On version that tightens the Max Loss Limit to $1,500. Same target, same rules, less room. MFFU discounts are common, so check the checkout price against the list price above.
What stands out:
- No consistency rule to pass. You can pass in a single day if you hit the target without touching the Max Loss Limit.
- The daily loss limit is soft. Hit $1,000 on the 50K and you're paused until the next session. The account stays open.
- No overnight holds. Anything still open at the session close is closed for you.
Rapid plan
| Size | Profit target | Max loss | Daily loss limit | Max contracts | Activation | Best-day rule | Room |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50K | $3,000 | $2,000 | none | 5 minis / 50 micros | $0 | 50% | 67% |
Rapid flips the trade-off. The eval has a 50% consistency rule and a two-day minimum, but once you're funded there's no consistency rule and payouts can be daily. The funded drawdown is different too: it trails your intraday equity high, so open profit you give back still moves your floor.
The buffer before your first payout
Funded accounts at MFFU start at a $0 balance, and you can't request anything until you've built a buffer equal to the Max Loss Limit plus $100. On a Builder 50K that's $2,100 of profit before the first dollar is withdrawable, and then at least $500 more above it. Builder payouts also need two trading days per cycle and a best day under 50% of the cycle's profit, with a $2,000 cap per cycle on the 50K and an 80/20 split.
The way to think about it: your first $2,100 of funded profit is a deposit that protects the account, not money you can take.
How it compares
Next to Apex and Topstep, MFFU's Builder sits in the middle. The drawdown is end-of-day like Apex's End of Day eval and Topstep's Combine, but the daily loss limit only pauses you and there's no time limit. The price is one payment instead of a monthly bill.
Practice the rule set first
FundedSim doesn't simulate MFFU's exact rules yet. The closest practice is an end-of-day trailing account of the same size, like the Apex 50K End of Day or Topstep 50K, which teaches the same habit: knowing where your floor sits at the end of every day.
Blow it here, not on a paid eval
Run the same rules on your own trades in the simulator. Free, no card, and a blown account costs you nothing but pride.
