Bulenox: pick your drawdown model before you buy, because you can't change it later
Bulenox sells Qualification accounts for a one-time fee with 30 days of access and no minimum trading days. Before buying you lock in one of two risk models: a real-time trailing drawdown with full size from day one, or an end-of-day drawdown with a scaling plan and a daily loss limit that pauses you for the day.
Qualification accounts
| Size | Price | Profit target | Max loss | Daily loss limit | Room |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $145 one-time | $1,500 | up to $1,500 | optional | 100% |
| 50K | $175 one-time | $3,000 | up to $2,500 | optional | 83% |
| 100K | $215 one-time | $6,000 | up to $3,000 | optional | 50% |
| 150K | $325 one-time | $9,000 | up to $4,500 | optional | 50% |
The drawdown column says "up to" because Bulenox lists the maximum. The final amount and the contract limits depend on which risk model you choose, and Bulenox only shows them after you pick one.
The two risk models
Trailing drawdown. Your loss limit follows your highest point in real time, open positions and commissions included. It rises with new highs and never falls back. You get full contract size from day one, with no scaling steps and no daily loss limit.
End-of-day drawdown. The limit moves once a day, at the close, based on realized profit, and stays fixed during the session. Contract size scales up as your balance grows, and a daily loss limit pauses you for the rest of the day instead of closing the account.
Which one fits? If you trade a few clean setups and rarely give back open profit, the real-time trailing model gives you size from day one. If your trades often run into profit and come back before you close them, the end-of-day model is kinder, because open profit you give back never moves your floor.
Two costs that aren't on the price tag
- The 30-day window. Access lasts 30 days. Run out of time and you buy again.
- Market data. When you sign the Rithmic agreement you declare yourself professional or non-professional. Professional status adds $116 a month for CME data, and the choice is locked. Most retail traders are non-professional, so read that checkbox carefully.
Practice the rule set first
FundedSim doesn't simulate Bulenox's rules yet. If you're leaning to the end-of-day model, the Apex End of Day or Topstep accounts in the simulator train the same habit. If you're leaning to real-time trailing, the Apex Intraday accounts are the closest match.
Blow it here, not on a paid eval
Run the same rules on your own trades in the simulator. Free, no card, and a blown account costs you nothing but pride.
