Lucid Trading LucidFlex: the numbers, and where the drawdown stops
LucidFlex is Lucid Trading's one-time-fee evaluation with no activation fee. The Max Loss Limit trails your highest closing balance and locks at your starting balance plus $100. You pick at checkout whether to add a daily loss limit and whether to pass with a 40% or 50% consistency rule.
LucidFlex at a glance
| Size | Profit target | Max loss | Daily loss limit | Max contracts | Activation | Best-day rule | Room |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25K | $1,250 | $1,000 | optional | 2 minis / 20 micros | $0 | 40% | 80% |
| 50K | $3,000 | $2,000 | optional | 4 minis / 40 micros | $0 | 40% | 67% |
| 100K | $6,000 | $3,000 | optional | 6 minis / 60 micros | $0 | 40% | 50% |
| 150K | $9,000 | $4,500 | optional | 10 minis / 100 micros | $0 | 40% | 50% |
The 25K is the odd one out: its profit target is $1,250, lower than the $1,500 most firms ask on a 25K. The 100K and 150K give you fewer contracts than Apex or Tradeify at the same size (6 and 10 minis).
Choices you make at checkout
- Daily loss limit on or off. Off gives you more room on a bad day. On caps how much a single day can cost you, which is exactly what a revenge-trading habit needs.
- 40% or 50% consistency. With 40% your best day can be at most 40% of your total profit, and you need at least three days to pass. The 50% add-on lets you pass in two days.
Where the drawdown stops
LucidFlex uses an end-of-day drawdown. At each session close the Max Loss Limit moves up with your highest closing balance and never comes back down. Once your balance clears the starting balance plus the drawdown plus $100, it locks at the starting balance plus $100. On a 50K that means: get to $52,100 at a close and your floor is $50,100 for good.
Request a payout on the funded account and the floor jumps straight to that locked level, even if you hadn't reached it yet. Plan your first payout with that in mind.
Cost
LucidFlex is a one-time fee with no monthly rebill and no time limit. Lucid shows prices in a plan widget with frequent coupons, so check the checkout price. Upgrading to the funded account is free and usually takes minutes after you hit the target.
Practice the rule set first
FundedSim doesn't simulate Lucid's exact rules yet. The closest practice for the drawdown is an end-of-day trailing account of the same size in the simulator, such as Apex 50K End of Day or Topstep 50K. Track the consistency percentage yourself.
Blow it here, not on a paid eval
Run the same rules on your own trades in the simulator. Free, no card, and a blown account costs you nothing but pride.
