# Changelog: positions now close at session end, and Intraday peaks count open profit

Three changes to how the simulator runs your eval, live from October 21, 2026:

1. Open positions close automatically at the end of the session, the way the firms do it: 4:59 PM New York time on Apex, 3:10 PM Chicago time on Topstep. The trade shows up closed at end of day.

2. If you were away with a position open, the daily loss limit and the drawdown are now checked on every minute you missed, not only today's.

3. On Apex Intraday accounts the peak balance now includes open profit. If a trade runs up $1,600 and you give it back, the threshold already moved up with it. That is how the real Intraday rule works, and it is why a green trade can still end an eval.

Only new trades use the new rules. Accounts and trades from before stay as they were.
